Okay, I know I said I’d never buy a Kindle and that my Sony Reader was the Love of My Life, but I gotta admit I’ve fallen in love with the Kindle 3. So much so, that I’ve ditched sold my Sony 505 to my best friend (she’ll give it a good home, don’t worry) and pre-ordered the Kindle Wi-Fi. My hubby, who has always been a good sport about sharing me with the Sony, is starting to get nervous. “All you talk about is that Kindly-thing!”
When I got my Sony, I was very happy with it. It did everything I needed it to do without any headache or heartache. I bought books when money allowed and sometimes when it didn’t, but I didn’t get crazy with it. Not so with the Kindle! I haven’t even gotten the thing in my hot little hands yet, and I’m already thinking of names (Pippin? Bertie? Pasquale?), drooling over Oberon covers, making screensavers for it (gotta have some yummy man-candy on display), joining Kindle Boards, creating a Kindle Edition-Only wishlist on Amazon, and generally just not shutting up about the damn thing!
I have been blinded by the bright and shiny! I am fickle, I tell you! But, oh, so in love! I think I may need a support group. Is it August 27th yet?

I’m a Kindle 2 owner and I’ve had it less than a year. I’ve pre-ordered my Kindle 3. Oh yes I did!! Look at that beauty!! I wants! Sorry, I know that’s a lot of !! but really, look at it!! :) Congrats on your new purchase, I look forward to hearing what you think of it.
I can’t wait for it to be released! I’ll be sure to gab about it when it finally gets here. I missed the mark a bit, so I won’t be getting it until possible the first or second week of September (just in time for my birthday, so yay!). Even so, the excitement is almost too much to bear!! Sorry, but my inner Drama Queen comes out whenever I think about my new precious! Ya know, I think a swoon is in order. :)
I love my Kindle 2 with a passion! I’ve had a love affair with it from the moment I received it when it was first released, so I can understand you 100%.
